There was a CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL at St. Thomas Church,Minnis Bay from Monday 4th December until Tuesday 2nd January

THE CHRISTMAS TREES, which were decorated by a large number of local groups, proved t0 be a very popular attraction with large numbers of visitors coming into the Church to enjoy “Christmas being given back to Jesus”

Many visitors kindly made donations to “ASSERT” which stands for Angelman Syndrome Support, Education & Research Trust. The syndrome, originally called “Happy Puppet Syndrome”, is a chromosome disorder in children that causes severe learning difficulties and is characterised by stiff, jerky movements and a permanently “happy” demeanour.
