Baptism marks the start of our journey of faith
Baptism marks the start of our journey of faith. When a child is baptised he or she becomes part of the worldwide Christian community.
Many people think that baptism only involves the child who is being baptised. But this is wrong – the parents and the godparents are just as much involved. They have to make certain promises in the service about their own faith and about how they will live as Christians.
In our parish, the baptism can take place during a family service (on the first Sunday of the month) or at 12.00 noon at All Saints, 1.00pm at St Thomas’ or from 11.00am onwards
at St Mildred’s on both the first and third Sundays of the month.
To arrange your child’s baptism please contact Sue Murphy in the Parish Office, open weekday mornings from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, Tel: 01843 840777.
All Saints Toddlers Group (for parents, carers, babies and toddlers) meets on Thursdays in term time at Church House, Kent Gardens, from 9.30 to 11.30am.
