Holy Baptism

Baptism marks the start of our journey of faith

Baptism marks the start of our journey of faith. When a child is baptised he or she becomes part of the worldwide Christian community.

Many people think that baptism only involves the child who is being baptised. But this is wrong – the parents and the godparents are just as much involved. They have to make certain promises in the service about their own faith and about how they will live as Christians.

If you would like to be baptised, or you would like to baptise your child, please fill in our Baptism Application Form, and email to parishclerkasb@gmail.com in a .word or .doc format. Alternatively, you can print out a copy yourself and drop into Church House or pop through the letterbox, or you can pick up a copy from the Parish Office (office hours 9am-12pm Monday-Friday).

If you have any questions, please get in touch on parishclerkasb@gmail.com or 01843 840777. We also have a Baptism Booklet that contains more information – copies can also be picked up from the Parish Office.
