Holy Baptism

Baptism marks the start of our journey of faith

Baptism marks the start of our journey of faith. When a child is baptised he or she becomes part of the worldwide Christian community.

Many people think that baptism only involves the child who is being baptised. But this is wrong – the parents and the godparents are just as much involved. They have to make certain promises in the service about their own faith and about how they will live as Christians.

In our parish, the baptism can take place during main services which start at 10.30 am. Please contact The Rev Mark to request an afternoon service.

To arrange your child’s baptism please contact The Rev. Mark Ham on 01843 844591 or 07790 430805
