Churches are places of peace and you will probably have seen in the news that we may open again from the 15th June for private prayer only (with social distancing and hygiene measures) but we still await official guidance from the Bishops confirming this news briefing. The Standing Committee since lockdown has been meeting regularly to keep an overview on our challenged finances and how we plan on an incremental basis for opening our sacred places of worship once again. I will keep you posted this week on developments about the 15th June and how we propose to introduce re-opening for private prayer.
A prayer for peace:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is division, unity;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
[St Francis of Assisi].
Please continue to keep safe and well.
With every blessing,
