You may download the Consultation Document here; “Sustaining the Future”
The Consultation Document “Sustaining the Future” outlines the case for the closures of St Mildred’s Church, Acol and St Thomas Church, Minnis Bay and provides the rationale for advocating this course of action. All Saints Church, Church House and Kearns Hall are not under threat of closure.
“Sustaining the Future” has been prepared for the meetings to be held in August and September 2023 (see dates, times and venues in the document or on the Parish Notice Boards, weekly Church Newsletters or Parish Magazine).
Comments and ideas addressed to Rev Mark Ham are welcomed either by email parishconsultation@gmail.com or in writing to Church House, Kent Gardens, CT7 9RS and please mark correspondence with “Consultation” . No text messages or Facebook submissions, please.
During August, letters will be written by me about the proposals and sent to all registered on the Church Electoral Roll, and to other stakeholders and interested parties.
The Consultation Process will close on Monday 30th October 2023 at 12 noon.
From 1st-8th November 2023, conclusions from the Consultation Process will be reviewed, a Parish response formulated and final recommendations made to the Parochial Church Council (PCC) meeting at the end of November 2023. PCC recommendations will be sent to the Diocese of Canterbury to enable further discussions about the way forward for the Parish.
I look forward to receiving your comments and ideas.
Best wishes,
The Reverend Mark Ham
Priest-in-Charge
